Indications of What to Expect Going Forward



The ballots have been cast and counted. The people have weighed in at all levels of government, from school board to the presidency. What do the results say about where we are headed? A bit of news to consider...


Newly Elected Schoolboard Trustees


Congratulations to our new school board trustees.


We have made some great inroads with respect to getting parental right supporters elected to school boards within Santa Clara county. No small achievement by these folks. A couple of notable examples:

Long Jiao

Cupertino Unified School District

Otila Salazar Torres

Oak Grove School District

Again, congratulations to all newly elected trustees!



Continuing Efforts to Stop Grooming Students in Santa Clara Classrooms

The Santa Clara County Board of Education is at it once again. The seven member board has approved the poster shown at the right for use within classrooms throughout the county. The poster is in the process of being sent out to all school districts.


The root of the problem appears to be Education Code EDC 60040 (presented in part below).


California continues to effectively promote the idea that LGBTQ is now the norm. How? Through effective use of such branding as the rainbow colors, narrowly defining words like "inclusivity" and "acceptance", and bombarding very young students with societal pressures.


Questions which must be asked.

  1. Are heterosexual parents ok with this being a prominent part of the education system?

  2. What effect is this having on the psyche of the children being raised in Christ centered homes?

  3. What long term effects will all of this have on our society as a whole?

We must think long and hard about what it is we wish life for the next generation of Californians to look like and how we go about making that vision a reality.

When adopting instructional materials for use in the schools, governing boards shall include only instructional materials that, in their determination, accurately portray the cultural and racial diversity of our society, including:


(a) The contributions of people of all genders in all types of roles, including professional, vocational, and executive roles.


(b) The role and contributions of Native Americans, African Americans, Latino Americans, Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, European Americans, LGBTQ+ Americans, persons with disabilities, and members of other ethnic, cultural, religious, and socioeconomic status groups to the total development of California and the United States.


(c) The role and contributions of the entrepreneur and labor in the total development of California and the United States.

Cupertino Unified School District Passes BP 6144

On Thursday November 21st the Cupertino Union schoolboard passed Board Policy 6144. (For a recap of what occurred, see the article posted at Californians for Equal Rights Foundation).


Basically, BP 6144 is a board policy which addresses classroom instruction related to controversial issues.

Review the second reading of the policy text. As the CERF article indicates:

Many, if not most of the endemic problems in education, can be attributed to the teachers' unions. CFER will continue to stand with local parents and stakeholders to expose and challenge union hijacking, radicalization and misconduct throughout the Golden State.


We understand parents' win in CUSD is just the beginning. Hopefully, this encouraging victory will be the momentum for them to continue to organize in their local school district, holding the school district accountable and safeguarding education going forward.

Moms for Liberty Santa Clara could not agree more.



Nominee for Secretary of Education

President-elect Donald Trump has made no secret of his plan to shut down the federal Department of Education and return that function to the states where it belongs. (Where in Article I Section 8 of the federal Constitution does it mention anything about education?)


If that's to happen, he will need someone strong in the position of Secretary of Education to see to the task of dismantling the education bureaucracy.


His pick for that person? Linda McMahon

For the past three years McMahon has been the chair of both the DC-based thinktank America First Policy Institute (AFPI) and its Center for the American Worker. She has expressed strong support for charter schools and school choice, and had served for a year on the Connecticut Board of Education (beginning in 2009).


To hear the former and future president tell it, "As Secretary of Education, Linda will fight tirelessly to expand ‘Choice’ to every State in America, and empower parents to make the best Education decisions for their families. … We will send Education BACK TO THE STATES, and Linda will spearhead that effort.”


President Trump's Agenda47 includes a number of positive developments, including:

  • cutting funding for any school or program that teaches Critical Race Theory (CRT);

  • removing gender ideology from K thru 12 schools;

  • introducing universal school choice to maximize the options available to parents throughout the nation;


In addition, there is the promise of ending “boys in girls’ sports” by rolling back the Biden administration policy towards extending Title IX civil rights protections to transgender students. (Moms for Liberty has been very active against this effort; we went into the details in our August newsletter). And yes, President Trump will ask Congress to require that exactly two genders are recognized at birth.


Mom's for Liberty's own Tiffany Justice weighs in as well, saying:

"Through subtle incrementalism, the left chips away at truth, altering language and reshaping culture until lies are accepted as normal.


Nowhere is this more efident than in their attack on Title IX, which once protected women's opportunities and spaces."

Linda McMahon's nomination is a testament to her dedication to serving the American people. It is incredible that we [at Moms for Liberty] will have an ally as the leader of the Department of Education 


With her nomination, we are one step closer to an educational system where parents are not only heard but are in the driver's seat. This means schools that focus on real-world skills, critical thinking, and the fundamentals of education without the overreach of unnecessary bureaucracy or ideological agendas.


Let's rally behind Linda McMahon to support her in this new role. We believe in a future where education serves our students, equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in life.

Together, we can work towards an education system that reflects our community's values and prepares our children for their future, not someone else's political or social agenda.

Parental Toolkit for Student Privacy


Parents should check out the toolkit describing how to better protect their children's sensitive data, as well as tips to make use of when advocating for better privacy policies and practices at school.


Remember to monitor the data being kept within your child’s education record – as is your right as a parent (as set forth under FERPA). If any information in their record is wrong, you have the right to correct it.

According to the states privacy map, California's standing with regard to student privacy is less than stellar.

Newly Proposed Legislation Banning Transgender Surgeries For Minors


Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) has introduced the STOP Act, which would impose heavy fines on doctors performing transgender procedures on children, calling such practices "irreversible child abuse." A recent poll showed that 72 percent of Americans, including majorities of Republicans and Democrats, oppose providing minors with puberty blockers or transgender surgeries.


Christmas Time Is Here...

It's the most wonderful time of the year!


Yes, there's shopping for gifts and looking out for Santa Claus and decorating the Christmas tree and enjoying a glass of eggnog and filled and sent greeting cards. All good.


But for those who profess being a follower of Christ Jesus, it is a day celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the day when God's only begotten Son, through whom all things were made and with whom all people are reconcilable to God the Father, enters into history to change things. Not some things. Everything.


No small event, this.


Now one of the things that has irritated me a bit of late is the notion that the United States is not a Christian nation, that the founders never intended for America to be rooted in the Christian faith or that religion was never meant to be embedded within our system of governance.


Nothing could be further from the truth.

Those interested in learning the facts about religion in these United States are invited to read the book Original Intent by David Barton. Barton, a historian and pastor's pastor, is founder of the Wallbuilders organization. The book chronicles what the founding fathers actually intended for us vis-à-vis religion, and what has occurred over time by way of our court system to cause us to diverge from that original intent. The book is beautifully laid out and exceptionally well referenced, with the account being both fascinating and profoundly disturbing.


Matthew 6:25-34


“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?


“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you -- you of little faith? Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

If you share our concern over what has been taking place in our classrooms, please consider joining with us as we fight for families, for children, for education, for truth, and for common sense.

We continue to ask people whether they understand what is now taking place within our school systems. We continue to provide information and resources to help people, especially parents, gain some idea of what's being taught to kids (and why). And yes, we continue to ask people to get involved and help with the lifting.

We fight against children being taught to hate their country, to judge people based on the color of their skin, and to ignore the basic truths of biology. We fight against the sexualization in school of little ones and the destruction of the innocence of youth. Perhaps most importantly, we fight to ensure that the proper teaching of math, reading and writing remain at the forefront of a child's education.

The idea that it is parents who are responsible for raising, educating, and seeing to the well being of their kids, that is sacrosanct.
