In an appearance on Hannity in April of 2022, Tulsi Gabbard offered some insightful comments on the topic of parental rights.
"I think anything that gets in the way of parents who love their kids, who want what's best for their kids, the government getting in the way of them being able to raise their children and impart their values on them is not going to help people electorally, but it is also just further undermining this trend that we're seeing, Sean, whether it is this issue or Critical Race Theory or education or other things.
"What we're seeing is a government increasingly encroaching on this relationship, driving a wedge between parents and their kids and taking away parents' rights one by one, This is a dangerous thing. Conservative parents should have the right to raise their kids, impart their values on their kids without fear of the government saying, 'You're a bad parent, and because you're a bad parent, we're going to take your kids away from you.'
"And quite frankly, woke parents have the right to do the same, They have the right to raise their kids, impart their values to them as well. Unelected government bureaucrats and the government in any way should not be encroaching on this relationship and taking away parents' rights."

It is no secret that many parents are upset, and understandably so, about the fact that their young children are being taughtcritical race theory, with teachers making students stand in privilege circles, dividing them into categories of "oppressor" and "oppressed" based solely on their skin color and ethnicity, compelling white students to apologize for their "whiteness," assigning students to read highly politicized books and essays promoting the controversial 1619 Project and the view that our society is systemically racist, and other things of that ilk.

The FBI's reputation is in serious jeopardy. Recent reports of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuse and credible claims that the upper echelons of the FBI hierarchy acted in a highly partisan manner in connection with its investigation of former President Donald Trump and many of those who worked on his campaign or in his administration have shaken the public's confidence in the most powerful law enforcement agency in this country.

The public needs to be reassured that parents who speak up at school board meetings about their children's education are not going to find themselves in an FBI database with a "threat tag" next to their names or, even worse, find themselves under investigation or placed in handcuffs and dragged away by federal authorities.

We continue to provide information and resources to help people, especially parents, gain some idea of what's being taught to kids (and why). And yes, we continue to ask people to get involved and help with the lifting.
We fight against children being taught to hate their country, to judge people based on the color of their skin, and to ignore the basic truths of biology. We fight against the sexualization in school of little ones and the destruction of the innocence of youth. Perhaps most importantly, we fight to ensure that the proper teaching of math, reading and writing remain at the forefront of a child's education.
The idea that it is parents who are responsible for raising, educating, and seeing to the well being of their kids, that is sacrosanct.

California Teachers Grooming Students Through Secret LGBTQ Clubs Behind Parents' Backs
CALIFORNIA - According to reports, the California Teachers Association has been trying to secretly groom children inside of the classroom behind the backs of parents - effectively luring and steering minors toward the gay/transgender ideology by way of clandestine student groups and other disturbing tactics.
During a recent appearance on "Tucker Carlson Tonight", Abigail Shrier, the author of the book "Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters", told the Fox News host about how these teachers in California are plotting methods to indoctrinate children without their parents becoming privy.
"The deception is actually the point ... It's explicit and, in fact ... specifically guiding teachers statewide in the deception of parents about the clubs, about the membership, even at the elementary school level."
Video was obtained this past February where Blaire Wyatt, which public records have her listed as an elementary school teacher within the San Ramon Valley Unified School District, was openly speaking about holding lunchtime meetings for deceptively named clubs that aim to promote this ideology.
The expressed purpose of using lunchtime, according to Wyatt, was so as to avoid alerting parents that teachers were promulgating this ideology to their children - knowing that parents may likely object to such grooming and indoctrination.
Documents uncovered this past October also showed that teachers had admitted to reviewing students' Google search histories to see if there were any hints of possible interest in topics relating to gender identity issues.
Shrier showed in one video that a teacher had stated that children as young as 7-years-old need guidance and support regarding their sexual identity.
"And they believe it is their job to provide that...What the California Teachers Association is doing is they're deciding how to recruit students to these clubs, how to coach them in solidifying this gender identity or sexual orientation, and they're doing this by deceiving parents, specifically telling teachers how to keep the existence of the clubs and the membership from the parent."
Considering the brazen nature of such grooming ongoing in schools, Shrier urges parents to remove their kids from these schools - if possible - because these teachers aren't actually teachers, they're "activists" posing as educators who want their values instilled in your children.
"These are activist teachers. They're looking to peel the children away from the values of their homes and supplant those values with their own."

While the U.S. Constitution does not expressly discuss parental rights, the right to protect, raise, and educate your own children has been described as the oldest of our fundamental liberties.
The history and culture of Western civilization embraces a strong tradition of parental rights, and the Supreme Court of these United States has described parental rights as being "established beyond debate as an enduring American tradition." See Wisconsin v. Yoder, 406 US 205, 232 (1972).
Parents need to begin to recognize the rights they hold as parents, and make their voices heard. Only then can we hope to turn things around.

Moms for Liberty Santa Clara is now hosting monthly "Madison Meetup" gatherings on the last Sunday of each month. Meetings take place from 3 to 4:30pm in meeting room at the Bascom branch of the San Jose Public Library, located at 1000 South Bascom Avenue San Jose.
Open to ages 8 years and up. All attendees will be provided with a pocket constitution. Discussion topics will be emailed to those who are signed up one week in advance of the meeting. Please let us know if you'll be attending.
