DEI actually stands for "Didn't Earn It"

Diversity. Equity. Inclusion. The latest progressive tag line describing what is needed (which is to say what is required) in our schools, our workplaces, our churches, and our military ranks. Who could be opposed to such nice sounding ideals?

If only things operated as advertised.

What is being touted as DEI is actually just one component of the leftist woke agenda, which includes political correctness, Critical

Race Theory, Social Emotional Learning, and gender fluidity. It conveys the foolish idea that people fall into one of two categories: either they're oppressed or they're an oppressor. It has become all about seeing to "racial justice".

That's the basic idea being pounded into young minds throughout America's school system, all the way from elementary school up through university. And in case you haven't heard, our young people are being told that America and her founders are not exceptional, that they are evil. And Americans? We are responsible for everything that's wrong with the world, whether the wrong be manifested in today's world or that of the past.

Looking to learn how we got into this mess? And perhaps more importantly,

how we get out of it? Read this book!

Per Pete Hegseth:

"Equity or equality? Racism or anti-racism? Sex or gender? It's confusing. It confuses adults -- smart adults. Imagine what it does to kids. It doesn't confuse kids, it is infused into kids. They start to instinctively speak the language of the Left. If they don't, they simply cannot navigate their coursework or the culture of their peers. "Diversity, equity, and inclusion" are the centerpiece of their curriculum. Teachers demand conformity to the woke lexicon, lest the student grades take a hit. As such, it becomes their "woke" language. They are indoctrinated.

"The goal of that indoctrination? It's not about racism, or equality, or event gender. It's about deconstructing anything and everything that reflects not just the founding principles of America, but the foundations of our families and our faith. It's about control -- of thought, and behavior. To the Left, our Western Judeo-Christian roots are the problem -- they must be dismantled one theory, one word, one classroom, and one mind at a time. And it's been a long-term project; a very long-term project."

Thanks to the Biden administration, around $8 billion a year is now being spent on diversity training in the United States, with more than half of all working Americans reporting having to engage in workplace DEI training or meetings. That's a great deal of time and money being spent on a program of dubious benefit.

In actuality virtue and vice are a imixed bag within the human heart. No category of people, be it based on race or ethnicity, a religious denomination, a person's sex (male or female), a political partition (national, state, or other), or anything else has a monopoly on behaving badly or admirably. Anyone who claims otherwise has an agenda they are pushing, and it's well past time we acknowledge that.

The new year will bring a return to reason

Thankfully the shift away from DEI has already begun. Companies throughout the United States are re-evaluating their policies with regard to wokeness and DEI, the most notable being the world's largest retailer, the behemoth Walmart. Other notable companies have followed suit, including Ford, Harley-Davidson, John Deere, Lowe’s, Tractor Supply, Molson Coors, and Nissan. And yes, the list will undoubtedly only continue to grow.
