Three in five Americans today believe there is no absolute truth.
Seem shocking? Brace yourself.
Four in five millennials believe there is no absolute truth. And worse? One in two Christians believes there is no absolute moral truth.
America is facing unprecedented times. Without absolute truth comes deception. If you reject the truth, a delusion comes; and when it comes, you will end up believing a lie; and when you believe a lie, you will act on the lie. High consequences come from that.
America has lost its love for the truth. Because of this, David Barton shares the five places the truth is under attack and how we can guard against falling into the trap.
1. Gender
"He created them male and female." - Genesis 5:2 (NIV)
Satan's attacks on humanity are never moderate. He goes for the throat -- the very nature and image of God. To do this, he must start where it all began -- the creation of mankind.
Genesis 1:27 tells us that God created man in His image. Male and female were created as an expression of Him. Two genders. End of story.
Today, the twisting of the truth has become so skewed that we stopped counting genders when they reached 90. Now, it can be whatever you want it to be. People see it as relative and have made gender almost obsolete. They've turned their backs on God’s design -- on TRUTH.
It’s a bit of a one-two punch, too, because eliminating gender is also an outright attack on the precious and sacred institution of marriage. In turn, this destroys the family unit and the strong foundation on which children can and should be reared.
Because we were created in the image of God, causing people to doubt their gender or the existence of only two genders is Satan's way of getting people to question the image of God. It is one area where we, as a society, are facing truth under attack.
2. Religion
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." - John 14:6 (NIV)
Another attack on the truth is under the umbrella of religion. The Bible is clear -- there is one road that leads to heaven (Matthew 7:14). It is a narrow road, and only a few find it, but to be sure -- it is ONE road.
Here’s the problem.
In an effort to be "inclusive," even Christians have started to cave and swing toward a universalist view on religion. A startling 80% of Christians believe any religion will get a person into heaven. Worse yet, 56% of Christians believe you can get to heaven even if you don’t believe anything at all.
How did they get to that place? If a Christian knows someone who isn't a Christian but is very nice and lives well, they decide that God couldn't possibly send them to hell, so there must be many ways to heaven. But we know that there is only ONE WAY, ONE TRUTH and ONE LIFE. And that's Jesus Christ.
This idea of no absolute right or wrong is becoming increasingly dangerous. It is robbing people of the TRUTH -- which happens to be not only a matter of happiness and success here on earth, but eternal life or death on the other side.
3. Education
"An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge." - Proverbs 18:15 (ESV)
If you don’t like history, change it. That seems to be the new mantra of left-leaning society. And it's dangerous.
Even more concerning, David Barton says, is how much has been omitted from textbooks -- especially when it comes to Black history. He believes if more truth were included about our nation’s narrative about how Black patriots impacted the Revolution, there would be a much different take on race relations today.
Not knowing history has a significant impact on public policy. If you don’t know it, you can be talked into all sorts of things that are opposite of what our nation stands for.
There are so many examples of Blacks and Whites working together to make this nation what it is today. Yet, this isn’t the narrative you’ll hear in our public schools. There is no question that racism has existed and caused untold hardships, but it has not been as systemic as our education system’s current portrayal. Failing to tell these and other stories is a clear example of truth under attack in America.
4. Economy
"My child, if sinners entice you, turn your back on them!" - Proverbs 1:10
Barton also shared some essential truths about the economy. No socialist nation in the world’s history has ever survived, prospered and maintained individual freedom. Yet 75% of college students in America want to go to a socialistic system; 69% of millennials and 41% of all Americans want the same. This is swapping the truth for a lie!
There are many examples of once-thriving nations becoming impoverished and miserable in a short time after moving to a socialist economy. For instance, Venezuela went from the wealthiest country in South America to the poorest in less than 20 years on a socialist system.
Let’s take a look at the difference between capitalism and socialism.
The definition of capitalism: “an economic system in which capital resources that are the means of manufacturing and distribution of goods and services are owned and operated privately, rather than by the government.”
The definition of socialism: “an economic system in which capital resources are either owned or predominately dominated by the government.”
The economic system of capitalism is biblical -- increase and prosperity resulting from personal initiative and work (Luke 19:12-26; Matthew 25:14-28).
Socialism will never work. Every time you touch a hot stove, it burns you. But we’re being robbed of truth by a narrative of delusions in the area of proposed economic "solutions."
5. Your Own Time
"He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed." - Proverbs 13:20 (NKJV)
The first four areas where truth is under attack are due to societal and governmental influences. But this final area—your own time -- is your own doing, if you allow it to be.
The way you guard yourself against being fooled by untruths and delusions is by investing time into feeding THE truth to your spirit and mind. Statistics show that only 9% of Christians read the Bible daily. If only 9% go to the source of TRUTH, the rest will be easily swayed.
With only 6% of Americans holding a biblical worldview, we need to stand firm and be a light in a dark world. The truth will not prevail if we do not defend it. Yes, you will be attacked for what you believe. Jesus told us we would be persecuted for His Name’s sake (Matthew 10:22). The Bible says that the fearful and cowardly will have no place in heaven (Revelation 21:8).
Don’t rob yourself of the truth by spending more time with the world than with the Word. Keep pressing on in the Word, and you’ll be rooted and grounded in love and truth.
When you consider these five areas where truth is under attack, remember that you have a voice and a calling to stand for truth and to be light in a dark world. As Christians, we must be bold and confront falsehoods. We speak the truth in love, but we do speak. It’s time to double down on our stand for truth, and pray for redemption for America and those who are so lost in the mire of deception.

We fight against children being taught to hate their country, to judge people based on the color of their skin, and to ignore the basic truths of biology. We fight against the sexualization in school of little ones and the destruction of the innocence of youth. Perhaps most importantly, we fight to ensure that the proper teaching of math, reading and writing remain at the forefront of a child's education.
The idea that it is parents who are responsible for raising, educating, and seeing to the well being of their kids, that is sacrosanct.

Truth Is Truth, and Schools Are Not Teaching It
Parents should be teaching their children the truth. Sadly, much of what children are hearing in their classrooms today is not the truth. The idea that a boy or girl could be born in the wrong body? That a youngster can decide whether they're a boy or a girl? That God might make atrocious mistakes that men can correct? These are the outrageous fallacies that "teachers" are pushing today. Instead of faithfully teaching the truth as expressed by the Word of God, both in the written word and in the word made flesh in the person of Jesus the Christ, "educators" are now purposely sowing confusion. If parents believe their children are being taught the truth in school, they need to really take a good hard look at what their kids are actually learning.

Three Initiatives for the California Ballot
Beginning this fall, the California Moms for Liberty chapters will be busy gathering signatures to get three initiatives on the ballot here in California for 2024. Given what's been happening within the state legislature, the initiative process remains the last best hope for getting certain problems addressed.
The three initiatives are as follows:
Protect Children from Reproductive Harm - An initiative to prevent child sterilization using puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, or transgender surgeries. Recent polling suggests 75%of California voters agree minors should be protected from puberty blockers, crosssex hormones and transgender surgeries.
School Transparency and Partnership - An initiative to require schools to notify parents when their child wants to socially transition. Recent polling suggests 68% of California voters support schools notifying parents of kids wanting to socially transition at school.
Protect Girls Sports and Spaces - An initiative to make certain girls have fair competition by ensuring athletic programs for girls are kept to females. Recent polling suggests 64%of California voters agree student athletes should only play on sports teams matching their biological sex.
Beginning in October we will be gathering signatures across the state. Please help spread the word. It is time for us to take back control and see to it that future generations of Californians enjoy the same blessings that we in this current generation have enjoyed.
Problem Books in Classroom Libraries
Back in January, a New York Times article reported that “Parents, activists, school board officials and lawmakers around the country are challenging books at a pace not seen in decades. The American Library Association said in a preliminary report that it received an ‘unprecedented’ 330 reports of book challenges, each of which can include multiple books, last fall.”
Moms for Liberty Santa Clara has been slowly determining which of the 31 school districts here in Santa Clara County have been making obscene, pornographic books available to students. We have done this through use of the California Public Records Act. We now have a fairly good idea of where the problem books are shelved. It is now time to move to doing the things necessary to see to it that these materials are removed from school libraries.
Parents have enough to worry about without having to wonder whether their young kids are going to stumble upon erotic literature in their classroom libraries. It is incumbent upon school board members to take better care that the books being allowed into schools and being made available to children are in fact age appropriate.
Kids should be allowed to be kids. The innocence of youth is precious and the world will have time enough to mess with these kids once they're a bit older.

While the U.S. Constitution does not expressly discuss parental rights, the right to protect, raise, and educate your own children has been described as the oldest of our fundamental liberties.
The history and culture of Western civilization embraces a strong tradition of parental rights, and the Supreme Court of these United States has described parental rights as being "established beyond debate as an enduring American tradition." See Wisconsin v. Yoder, 406 US 205, 232 (1972).
Parents need to begin to recognize the rights they hold as parents, and make their voices heard. Only then can we hope to turn things around.
Madison Meetup
Interested in learning more about our Constitution and Declaration of Independence? Want to discuss the principles upon which this precious republic was founded? Well you are in luck!
Moms for Liberty Santa Clara is now hosting monthly "Madison Meetup" gatherings on the last Sunday of each month. Meetings take place from 3 to 4:30pm in a meeting room at the Bascom branch of the San Jose Public Library, located at 1000 South Bascom Avenue San Jose.
Open to ages 8 years and up. All attendees will be provided with a pocket constitution. Discussion topics will be emailed to those who are signed up one week in advance of the meeting. Please let us know if you'll be attending.
