Youngsters are not being well served by their schools today. Instead of focusing on core skills that will carry a young person to success in their later years -- namely the basics of reading, writing, mathematics, history, civics, critical thinking -- teachers in today's classrooms are busy pushing a woke, gender confusing, globalist promoting, parent rejecting ideology. This must stop.
In California, the latest proficiency tests indicate that students are unable to read, write or do math at grade level. The numbers reported by CAASPP for 2022 are very disturbing: 39.37% of students are not reading at grade level, and 48.61% can't do math at grade level.
Basic learning...
Development of a child's language and comprehension skills based on their ability to read is absolutely key to education, development, and success in later life.
Publications put out by the U.S. Department of Education ("Helping Your Child Become A Reader") and The Partnership for Reading ("Put Reading First") can help guide parents on how to prepare their children to succeed.
Babies: Cardboard or cloth books with large simple pictures of things with which babies are familiar are the best books to begin with.
Ages 1 to 4: Read and talk together. Point to pictures and name what is in them. When ready, ask your child to do the same. Ask his or her favorite parts of the story, and answer questions about events or characters.
Kindergarten: Read predictable books. Teach a child to hear and say repeating words, such as names for colors, numbers, letters and animals. Predictable books allow children to understand how stories progress. The child learns familiar phrases and repeats them, pretending to read.
First grade: Listen to your child read words and books from school. Be patient and listen as your child practices. Let them know you are proud of their reading.
Provide them with the tools they'll need to be successful...
We are failing a generation of young minds. It is high time we stood up and proclaimed "Not on our watch! We will not allow our children to be filled with untruths, confused over who they are, and separated from those responsible for raising and nurturing them."
This is America, and our kids deserve better.
Ignite the wonder.
The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand wrapped in awe, is as good as dead -- his eyes are closed. The insight into the mystery of life, coupled though it be with fear, has also given rise to religion. To know what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their most primitive forms -- this knowledge, this feeling is at the center of true religiousness. - Albert Einstein, Living Philosophies
Wonder is the beginning of wisdom. - Socrates
If you share our concern over what has been taking place in our classrooms, please consider joining with us as we fight for families, for children, for education, for truth, and for common sense.
We continue to ask people whether they understand what is now taking place within our school systems. We continue to provide information and resources to help people, especially parents, gain some idea of what's being taught to kids (and why). And yes, we continue to ask people to get involved and help with the lifting.
We fight against children being taught to hate their country, to judge people based on their skin color, and to ignore the basic truths of biology. We fight against the sexualization in school of little ones and the destruction of the innocence of youth. Perhaps most importantly, we fight to ensure that the proper teaching of math, reading and writing remains at the center to a child's education.
The idea that it is parents who are responsible for raising, educating, and seeing to the well being of their kids, that is sacrosanct.
Join with us in preserving the attributes and ideals of this great nation.
Feel free to forward this newsletter to friends and family. Actually anyone who acknowledges the fundamental right of parents to raise, educate, and protect their children are invited to join with us. We are gathering a group of joyful warriors, folks who understands why (and for whom) we fight.

Speak up for education: an open letter
Dear schoolboard member.
I write today in opposition to what is now taking place within our schools, and perhaps even more importantly what is not. Per a report card issued for Santa Clara schools for 2022, 39.37% of students are unable to read at grade level and 48.61% are not able to do math at grade level. Perhaps teachers are spending a bit too much time indoctrinating kids with Critical Race Theory and Social Emotional Learning to be bothered with teaching them to read and do math?
I object strongly that our schools now teach children what to think rather than how to think. A good many students in today's classrooms are afraid to speak their minds, being scared silent over the potential "consequences" were they to speak up. It is unacceptable that schools are attempting to usurp the role of parents as the teachers of proper morals and truth. I reject wholeheartedly the notion that people must be separated into two camps, those who are "oppressed" and those who are "privileged". This is the United States of America; here, we recognize our liberties come from God and every citizen is privledged.
For the sake of our community, our city, our state, our country, and most importantly our children, I ask that you do everything in your power to see to it that our schools are instructing children properly, in accordance with the wishes of their parents.
Sincerely, Your name here
While the U.S. Constitution does not expressly discuss parental rights, the right to protect, raise, and educate your own children has been described as the oldest of our fundamental liberties.
The history and culture of Western civilization embraces a strong tradition of parental rights, and the Supreme Court of these United States has described parental rights as being "established beyond debate as an enduring American tradition." See Wisconsin v. Yoder, 406 US 205, 232 (1972).
Parents need to begin to recognize the rights they hold as parents, and make their voices heard. Only then can we hope to turn things around.
Please let us know if you'll be attending. We are trying to get a handle on if there's interest in doing this. Thanks!
Think on this...
DO NOT TRAIN A CHILD TO LEARN BY FORCE OR HARSHNESS; BUT DIRECT THEM TO IT BY WHAT AMUSES THEIR MINDS, SO THAT YOU MAY BE BETTER ABLE TO DISCORVER WITH ACCURACY THE PECULIAR BENT OF THE GENIUS OF EACH.
