250 Years In The Making Celebrating The Birth of the Struggle for Liberty! |

The "shot heard round the world".
A phrase referring to the opening shot of the battles of Lexington and Concord that took place on April 19, 1775. The event sparked the American Revolutionary War which led directly to the creation of the United States. The phrase originates from the opening stanza of Ralph Waldo Emerson's 1837 poem "Concord Hymn".
|
By the rude bridge that arched the flood, Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled, Here once the embattled farmers stood, And fired the shot heard round the world.
− Emerson, "Concord Hymn" |

Remember when university professors were expected to actually teach students? Remember when "higher education" meant just that: higher education? The left no longer hides what they are doing in terms of pushing leftist activism within our classrooms, whether those classrooms involve students in K thru 12 or those who attend universities. Here is such an example, posted to X by user The College Fix.
NEW: Activist professors to target regents, trustees in new wave of anti-Trump, Musk protests
In a "research" meeting Thursday hosted by the left-leaning American Association of University Professors, organizers said protest campaigns will now include an effort to identify and harass regents, trustees, and boards of governors who side with President Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
The AAUP brought in professional agitators from the Action Center on Race & the Economy to lead the meeting and help organize the directed attack campaign against campus leadership.

targets into the association's upcoming nationwide Day of Action on April 17.
"We want to take the fight ... to their corporate offices," one organizer said during the meeting, according to an attendee who spoke to The College Fix on the condition of anonymity.
The scholars cited the protests against Tesla dealerships as having been valuable and cutting into Musk’s profits.

WATCH: A California high school girl tearfully recounts to her school board having to change in front of a biological male student before track practice. Celeste Diest, a junior in the Lucia Mar Unified School District, said the biological male watched both her and other girls undress, calling the experience "beyond traumatizing."
"Adults like yourselves make me and my peers feel like our own comfort was invalid, even though our privacy was and still is being completely violated," Celeste said to the board. A board member then told her to "please wrap it up." |
 |
WATCH: A California school board member sounds the alarm about an SEL survey asking fourth graders for their gender identities.
Tom McDougall said the survey is being conducted in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District this week. Students can answer "male," "female," "transgender," "gender-neutral," "nonbinary," "other" or "decline to say," according to McDougall.
"I think this is not age-appropriate for that age," he said. |

WATCH: A California high schooler stuck up for her female teammate just days before she was forced to compete against a biological male.
Isabel Salazar is on the track and field team at the Chino Valley Unified School District. She told the school board on Thursday her best friend would be competing against AB Hernandez at the Mt. SAC Relays on Saturday, a biological male who recently "took her number one state ranking" in the long jump.
Hernandez later won both the girls' triple jump and long jump at the Mt. SAC Relays.
"When me and my best friend first heard that the federal law was being passed to stop men competing, we were so happy ... But now California government officials are allowing it to continue," Salazar said. "We all know it's unfair." |

UC Ethnic Studies Admissions Requirement Defeated by a Majority in Faculty Assembly |
|
|
Great news!
The University of California (UC) Ethnic Studies Admissions requirement proposal known as Area H was overwhelmingly defeated in a Faculty Assembly vote taken on Wednesday April 23rd. The vote was 12 in favor, 29 opposed, and 12 abstentions.
|
|
|
As AMCHA Director Tammi Rossman-Benjamin explained in a recent op-ed, the proposal began with a 2020 student petition that lacked any clear academic justification. It soon became the starting point for a multi-year effort by activist faculty to hijack the UC admissions process and force a highly politicized “liberated” version of ethnic studies — one involving anti-Zionism and BDS promotion — into every California classroom.
With that vote, the UC Faculty Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to academic integrity, fairness, and inclusion.
This has been a long and determined campaign, with efforts that have included:
Near-annual op-eds (2022, 2023, 2025) exposing the dangers of Area H.
Petitions that grew from 2,000 signatures in 2022 to over 13,000 in 2024.
Strong organizational opposition, increasing from a 99-group coalition letter in September 2023 to 115 groups by October.
Attention now turns to stopping AB 101 — the California high school ethnic studies graduation requirement that served as the foundation for Area H. Please sign AMCHA's petition urging the California Legislative Jewish Caucus to repeal AB 101 before more harm is done.

Wokeness Has Crept Into Every Facet of California Life A Case In Point: The California Pharmacists Association |
|
|
It continues to amaze, the number and types of organizations that have chosen to buy into the left's crazy woke agenda. This is especially true here in California, where leftist thinking is no longer even questioned. |
|
|
Here are a few slides being offered by the California Pharmacists Association organization. Mind you, these are the people responsible for providing folks with their medications.
Absurd? Yes. Concerning? Most definitely. Surprising? Well, I'd have to remind you, dear reader, that this is California. |

Celebrating a Century of Recognized Parental Rights |
|
|
A critical decistion passed down by the U.S. Supreme Court on the topic of parental rights, Pierce v. Society of Sisters (268 U.S. 510) turns 100 years of age. The case, the question of which centered on whether parents have the right to send their children to a Catholic school if they choose to do so, was decided on March 16th and 17th. The 9-0 decision -- with Justices McReynolds (author), Taft, Holmes, Van Devanter, Brandeis, Sutherland, Butler, Sanford, and Stone all voting in the majority and no dissenting opinions, was rendered on June 1st in 1925.
Per a summary offered by Professors Caroline Fredrickson (Georgetown University Law Center) and Ilan Wurman (Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University):
Pierce v. Society of Sisters is a “substantive due process” case. Substantive due process stands for the proposition that some rights are so fundamental that the state cannot regulate them without exceptional justification, even if there is no written constitutional prohibition on the government’s power. In an era of widespread animus against Catholics, Oregon sought to shutter parochial schools and force parents to send their children to public schools. The Court struck down this law as unreasonably interfering with the liberty of a parent to raise a child in the manner that the parent sees fit.
|
|
“The fundamental theory of liberty upon which all governments in this Union repose excludes any general power of the state to standardize its children by forcing them to accept instruction from public teachers only. The child is not the mere creature of the state; those who nurture him and direct his destiny have the right, coupled with the high duty, to recognize and prepare him for additional obligations.”

California's Disgraceful Legislative Efforts |
|
|
|
|
Here are the initial worst bills of the Democrat Party state legislators (who control 3/4ths of the seats in both the California Assembly and State Senate; also controlling the committees and floors).
As a result of this situation, lawmakers continue to push LGBTQ bills onto Californians, with very little in the way of consequence.Families frustrated with the situation, understanding that they have no real options to effect change, are leaving the state of California in droves.
The seven worst bills now making their way through the system:
AB 86 Introduced by Democrat Party Assemblywoman Tasha Boerner, AB 86 would require the California State Board of Education to adopt K-8 "sexual health education materials." All based on the anti-family 2019 curriculum frameworks requiring kids to be positively taught to accept masturbation, oral sex, teen fornication, homosexuality, bisexuality, transsexuality, abortion, and more.
Current statue: AB 86 on April 9 was referred to the "suspense file" of the Assembly Appropriations Committee. Earlier, this bad bill passed the Assembly Education Committee on March 12 (voting yes was nearly every Democrat + Republicans Josh Hoover of east Sacramento County and Leticia Castillo of west Riverside County; Democrat Robert Garcia of Rancho Cucamonga did not vote).
AB 727 Introduced by Assemblyman Mark Gonzalez and four other Democrat legislators, AB 727 would promote transsexuality to millions of schoolchildren by requiring a pro-transsexuality suicide hotline number to be imprinted upon all student ID cards in grades 7-12, including at private schools.
According to AB 727, a suicide hotline for "sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression, or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression." This would also be a mandate upon private religious schools that issue student ID cards.
Current status: AB 727 has been sent to the Assembly Appropriations Committee after its April 9 passage in the Assembly Education Committee (voting yes were all the Democrats, voting no were both Republicans).
AB 908 Introduced by Democrat Party Assemblyman Jose Solache, AB 908 would force all K-12 government schools to ensure pro-"LGBT+" policies throughout a school campus
Current status: AB 908 has been sent to the Assembly Appropriations Committee after its April 9 passage in the Assembly Education Committee (voting yes were all the Democrats, voting no were both Republicans). |
|
|
AB 932 Introduced by Democrat Party Assemblywoman Jacqui Irwin. AB 932 was amended April 9 and no longer permits lawsuits if biological males are not allowed to be on females' sports teams, and vice versa. Instead, the bill would now prohibit "gender" discrimination in city and county sports programs. In the California statutes, “gender” means subjective “gender identity” and “gender expression.” As such, this bill would still promote transsexuality over people's consciences, would invade girls' sports in particular, and opens the door to lawsuits against dissenters.
|
|
|
As the Legislative Counsel's Digest describes the amended AB 932: "No city, county, city and county, or special district, including, but not limited to, a community services district, recreation and park district, regional park district, regional park and open-space district, regional open-space park district, or resort improvement district, or local educational agency shall discriminate against any person on the basis of sex or gender in the operation, conduct, or administration of community youth athletics programs or interscholastic athletic programs, or in the allocation of parks and recreation facilities and resources resources, or school and recreation facilities and resources, that support or enable these programs."
Current status: AB 932 has been scheduled for an April 29 hearing in the Assembly Judiciary Committee. Previously, on April 8, this bad bill passed the Assembly Arts, Entertainment, Sports, and Tourism Committee (voting yes were 5 Democrats; not voting were 2 Republicans (Jeff Gonzalez and Tom Lackey) and 1 Democrat (Sharon Quirk-Silva).
AB 1084 Introduced by Democrat Party Assemblyman Rick Zbur and other "LGBTQ Caucus" members, AB 1084 would fast-track legal changes to minors' "genders." The new “gender identifier” will be granted unless parents file a written objection “showing good cause” within 6 weeks of the original petition being filed – and courts have up to 30 days to notify them. This is does not give adequate time for parents to find out, get an attorney, and file a well-written objection "showing good cause" why the new "gender identifier" should not be granted.
Current status: AB 1084 has been sent to the Assembly Health Committtee after its March 25 passage in the Assembly Judiciary Committee (voting yes were all the Democrats; voting no was Republican Kate Sanchez; there were no votes recorded for Republicans Diane Dixon and Bill Essayli).
AB 1487 Introduced by Democrat Party Assemblywoman Dawn Addis, AB 1487 proposes to rename the State Dept. of Public Health's current "Transgender, Gender Nonconforming, and Intersex Wellness and Equity Fund" as "the Two-Spirit, Transgender, Gender Nonconforming, and Intersex (2TGI) Wellness and Equity Fund" to receive taxpayer-funded appropriations to fund “TGI-serving organizations” to get to “asylees and immigrants” and “transitional-age 2TGI youth” (TGI = “transgender, transsexual, gender-diverse, and intersex”).
Current status: Referred to the Assembly Health Committee.
SB 59 Introduced by Democrat Party State Senator Scott Wiener and other Democrats in the "LGBT+ Caucus", SB 59 would eliminate public information on "all filed petitions for a change of gender and sex identifier," instead keeping them secret, and permitting lawsuits to financially destroy dissent.
From the Legislative Counsel's Digest: ""This bill would make a violation of these confidentiality requirements an injury and, commencing 6 months after the effective date of this act, would authorize a person or entity to institute proceedings for injunctive relief, declaratory relief, or a writ of mandate to enforce them. The bill would require a court to award reasonable attorney’s fees and costs to a plaintiff who prevails on a cause of action against a private party pursuant to this authority."
"This bill would also authorize a petitioner who has been harmed by a disclosure or continuing disclosure of confidential information in violation of these confidentiality requirements, as specified, to, commencing 6 months after the effective date of this act, bring a civil action against the private person or entity that caused the harm. The bill would require a private person or entity found liable to pay actual damages or liquidated damages, punitive damages, and reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, as specified."
Current status: SB 59 is scheduled for an April 22 hearing in the State Senate Judiciary Committee. |

PLEASE TAKE QUICK ACTION: Urge Republican state legislators (find them here) to "Stand and speak to expose these Democrat tyrannical 'trans' bills targeting children: AB 86, AB 727, AB 908,
AB 932, AB 1084, AB 1487, and SB 59."
Realize the only practical way to defeat these wicked bills is for Republican legislators to a) stand, b) raise their microphone, and c) speak to expose what the bill would do. This is the only way to get the attention of "swing district" Democrats!
Also realize there's a terrible trend of Republicans not speaking against "LGBTQIA+" bills. So call your own GOP legislators to "raise expectations" and demand they speak! Want to do more against these tyrannical, anti-child "LGBTQIA+" bills? Call other Republicans with your "stand and speak" message. But call after hours (7pm to 8am, and weekends), without disclosing your name or community, since offices routinely "trash" calls they know are out of district (but they'll take messages from various telephone prefixes).
Here's the list of every current Republican in the California State Legislature. You can leave brief voicemails for any or all of them, either not identifying yourself or simply saying you're "a conservative voter," and telling them you want him or her to "Stand and speak to expose these tyrannical Democrat 'trans' bills targeting children: AB 86, AB 727, AB 908, AB 932, AB 1084, AB 1487, and SB 59."
19 ASSEMBLY REPUBLICANS Josh Hoover of Folsom 916-319-2007 (he already voted yes on AB 86 in committee) Greg Wallis of Rancho Mirage 916-319-2047 Juan Alanis of Modesto 916-319-2022 Carl DeMaio of San Diego 916-319-2075 Laurie Davies of Laguna Niguel 916-319-2074 Phillip Chen of Brea 916-319-2059 Diane Dixon of Newport Beach 916-319-2072 Heath Flora of Ripon 916-319-2009 Tom Lackey of Palmdale 916-319-2034 Tri Ta of Westminster 916-319-2070 Stan Ellis of Bakersfield 916-319-2032 David Tangipa of Fresno 916-319-2008 Alexandra Macedo of Visalia 916-319-2033 Heather Hadwick of Redding 916-319-2001 Joe Patterson of Rocklin 916-319-2005 Kate Sanchez of Rancho Santa Margarita 916-319-2071 James Gallagher of Yuba City 916-319-2003 Leticia Castillo of Corona 916-319-2058 Jeff Gonzalez of Coachella 916-319-2036 (NOTE: Assembly Republican Bill Essayli's seat is currently vacant)
10 STATE SENATE REPUBLICANS Marie Alvarado-Gil of Amador County 916-651-4004 Stephen Choi of Orange County 916-651-4037 Megan Dahle of Redding 916-651-4001 Shannon Grove of Bakersfield 916-651-4012 Brian Jones of San Diego County 916-651-4040 Roger Niello of Placer County 916-651-4006 Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh of San Bernardino County 916-651-4019 Mr. Kelly Seyarto of Riverside County 916-651-4032 Tony Strickland of Orange County 916-651-4036 Suzette Valladares of Santa Clarita 916-651-4023

Defunding Hospitals and People Who Are Transitioning Minors |
|
|
Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) introduced legislation that would block funding for graduate medical education programs at children’s hospitals if the hospitals perform sex change procedures on children. Do No Harm loudly supports the bill.
|
|
|
Since 1999, the Children’s Hospital Graduate Medical Education (CHGME) program has funded graduate medical education programs to train resident physicians and dentists. The Children’s Hospital GME Support Reauthorization Act of 2025 extends the CHGME program through 2030. The legislation prevents CHGME funding from going to hospitals that administer child sex change interventions such as cross-sex hormones, puberty blockers, and surgeries.
“The American taxpayer should not fund hospitals that perform unscientific sex-change procedures on minors,” said Dr. Kurt Miceli, Medical Director at Do No Harm. “Representative Crenshaw’s bill is important to help protect our children by ensuring federally-funded graduate medical education programs do not engage in these harmful practices. Do No Harm supports this bill to help restore true quality of care, faith and trust in our profession. We thank Representative Crenshaw for introducing it.”
“We’re standing for basic medical ethics and recognizing those who have been silenced and betrayed by a system that put ideology ahead of genuine care,” said Representative Dan Crenshaw. “Medicine should be grounded in truth and healing—not in false promises that cause lasting harm. I will always fight for detransitioners and push for real safeguards to ensure no one is harmed by dangerous gender transition procedures in the future.”
And in case you missed it, President Trump signed an executive order disqualifying people who work at organizations performing child sex changes from student loan forgiveness. |

If you share our concern over what has been taking place in our classrooms, please consider joining with us as we fight for families, for children, for education, for truth, and for common sense.
We continue to ask people whether they understand what is now taking place within our school systems. We continue to provide information and resources to help people, especially parents, gain some idea of what's being taught to kids (and why). And yes, we continue to ask people to get involved and help with the lifting.
We fight against children being taught to hate their country, to judge people based on the color of their skin, and to ignore the basic truths of biology. We fight against the sexualization in school of little ones and the destruction of the innocence of youth. Perhaps most importantly, we fight to ensure that the proper teaching of math, reading and writing remain at the forefront of a child's education.
The idea that it is parents who are responsible for raising, educating, and seeing to the well being of their kids, that is sacrosanct.

I AM SCARED OF MY TEACHERS AND CLASSMATES. I CAN’T TALK ABOUT MY OPINION BECAUSE I’M A GENOCIDAL WHITE COLONIZER (I’M NONE OF THOSE THINGS). HEARING MY TEACHER SAY MY HOME SHOULDN’T EXIST AND KNOWING MY CLASSMATES AGREE MAKES ME WANT TO DIE. - Santa Clara Unified 9th grade student
THE FACULTY DOESN’T TEACH. THEY PREACH THEIR RELIGION OF FAKE TOLERANCE AND HATE FACTS ... THIS IS AN OPPRESSIVE PLACE TO BE. - Berkeley Unified student
On The Curriculum Being Imposed The Concern: A divisive curriculum that imposes a narrow ideology, polarizes students, sows bigotry, glorifies violent movements, and erroneously equates capitalism with racism. The Solution: A constructive curriculum that builds understanding, inspires mutual respect, confronts racism, and celebrates ethnic accomplishments.

THE CURRICULUM IS TOO ONE SIDED AND PROMOTES HATE.
